Är det inte underbart? Ditt nyinköpta dyra fina mjukvaruhelvete bara fetkraschar en dag.

Jag hade problem med instabilt Dreamweaver för några år sedan och Macromediasupporten i USA bara sket i mig. Å inte fick jag ha en Macromediaprodukt på 2 plattformar, dvs mac OCH PC, trots att licensen är för en stationär och en bärbar. Schysst. Det är då man tar till en crackad Dreamweaver som funkar å pengarna å samvetet går till sjöss.

Hursomhelst, igår bara fetkraschade jobbets Flash med de filer jag hämtat på servern via FTP den dan. Alla flashfiler från den dagen kraschade när jag skulle publicera, men inte äldre filer, från dagen innan och så. Efter att ha svurit, bankat skallen i Adobes “knowledgebase” osv, hittade jag en lösning. Postar den nedan som jag postat i några forum som svar på inlägg, men här kommer en sammanfattning på svenska:

I menyn filer/publicera, publish settings, eller vad det nu heter i din dator. Välj var den publicerade filen ska sparas. Om inte bara det hjälper, kopiera alla flashfiler till en ny mapp och gör samma sak. En ofin lösning, men den funkar.

Installed Flash CS3 for the first month and everything was working ok…

I had the same. One day, all of a sudden, Flash CS3 crashed on publishing every time when publishing THAT DAY’S flash files in Win XP sp2. Didn’t solve the problem, but after reinstalling Flash and hunting for solutions, this is a possible cause and workaround:

Somehow the Flash “function” that creates a temp xml file (called default.xml) for your publish data possibly got damaged. (Ahemm, this is what windows usually does in my computers, hence I mostly work on Macs…) anyway, the workaround is simple.

Before publishing your open .fla file, go to “Publish Settings” and tell flash where to publish the file by clicking the little file icon in the publich prompt and choose directory. In case this doesn’t work, you have to copy your .fla to a new directory and repeat the procedure. It helped me and as long as I do that, all previously crashing files work.

Please post if this helped you. There seem to be many people with this problem and I haven’t found anything at Adobe that solved this.

An alternative would of course be to buy a “Poor Bob” (martial arts punch dummy) and put in your office instead of the so called support centers, but that’s just my opinion.
